HARDWARE PARTS

Screws:

When many people think of fasteners, screws are the main thing that comes into mind. A screw fastener is one of the most versatile types of fasteners out there.

Their threaded shafts give them a durable holding power, and unlike a bolt, they do not require anything to hold them into place. Typically, you would make a pilot hole in the material with a  drill and then use a screwdriver bit to drive the screw into place.
They come in a wide variety of types and sizes. Some of the most common types of screws include Deck Screws, Drywall Screws, Machine Screws, Masonry Screws, Sheet Metal Screws, Coach Screws and Woodscrews.

Bolts, Nuts and Washers
Nuts and Bolts are another common type of fastener. These two pieces work together to hold objects together. You position the bolt through the two objects you would like to join and then fasten it in place with a nut on the end. These items can function on their own, but sometimes you may want a washer in between them. This is a flat disc with a centre hole to place the bolt through. This can then distribute the fasteners load more evenly across the surface of the material.
Some of the most common types of Bolts are Hex Head and Coach Bolts.
Some of the most common types of Nuts are Hex Full Nut, Flange Nuts, Dome Nuts and Nylon Insert Nuts.
Some of the most common types of Washers are Form A Plain Washes, Mudguard Washers, and Spring Washers.

Anchors
Anchors serve a similar function to a boat anchor, which is where the name comes from. Generally, people use these fasteners to connect something to a material loke drywall or concrete. They embed themselves into the material, to hold the object you are fixing into place.
Common types of anchors are: Internally threaded anchors, externally threaded anchors, Sleeve Anchors, through bolts and Drop-in Anchors.

Rivets
A rivet creates a permanent joint between two objects. They consist of a cylindrical shaft with a head and tail on either end of the Fastener. Rivets are remarkably durable, compared to other types of fasteners.
Some common types of rivets include Blind Rivets, Peel Rivets, Flange Rivets and Countersunk Rivets.
